This study examines law enforcement-led counter-insurgency operations in Bangladesh, emphasizing intelligence-sharing, inter-agency coordination, specialized counterterrorism units, legal frameworks, operational effectiveness, and national security outcomes. The analysis covers developments in counter-insurgency practices and evaluates reductions in terrorism-related incidents and fatalities alongside increases in arrests and weapons seizures. It also addresses accountability and human-rights challenges, arguing that sustainable national security requires stronger oversight, legal safeguards, institutional coordination, intelligence-led operations, and protection of civil liberties.
